CLC Extends Partnership with Marshall University

ATLANTA, Ga. (Dec. 23, 2014) – The Collegiate Licensing Company, the licensing affiliate of IMG College, today announced a five-year extension of its partnership with Marshall University to continue managing the school’s highly successful trademark licensing program.
Marshall’s licensing program has grown significantly since partnering with CLC, achieving annual royalty gains in ten consecutive years (180% increase). Since the school’s relationship with CLC began in 1987, licensing royalties have grown more than 325%.
Marshall continues to gain momentum licensing its brand, as 2013-14 represented the second-largest royalty collection in the history of the school’s licensing program.

The partnership with CLC also allows the university to leverage best-in-class licensees, tap into key retailers, access exclusive retail intelligence, and participate in a range of national retail marketing programs.
CLC, the leading collegiate licensing agency in the U.S., has signed or extended its licensing agreements with more than 50 properties this year. CLC currently represents nearly 200 collegiate properties, including 25 bowl games and the College Football Playoff.
